I wouldnt recommend it to people with children, because I wasnt keen on the area and I left my car at the MEN Arena overnight because I didnt feel it was safe in the carpark outside the hotel. And it costs £18 to park there overnight. So add that onto the cost of your stay.
Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite.
So first impressions were good.
But then the door to our room was battered, unpainted and there was no lock on the inside, half was there so made us uneasy.
The wood floor was blown in the bathroom.
But then the bed linen was immaculate and the coffee tray was all fairtrade.
Thumbs up!! I was staying here for a concert in the MEN Arena and it was 1.2 miles away from the event.
Perfect

Deparately needs re-decorating inside and the entrance is in a very undesirable part of Manchester. Did not feel safe venturing out at night.

We found the room cold and in a poor State of repair. The heating switch was broken and in any case we were told at reception that they did not turn the heat on until 5pm.The lifts did not work ,but we were only on the first floor, later we were told by other guests to use the service lift. The bathroom was in a poor state, cracked panels. We did not use the jaccuzi. Some of the furniture was stained. The wardrobe door had come off its runners so we had to reach round the other door which also did not move. The hotel is nicely located, but I had to pay£13 40 to park on Church Street multi storey car park. We enjoyed the carvery evening meal, and breakfast was satisfactory.

My room had damp peeling wallpaper, a broken security lock on the door, a splintered doorframe, filthy windows, a broken sink plug and a tv stand too short to allow the tv to be seen from the bed. Avoid at all costs.
