Sachas Hotel Description
The Sachas Hotel is a recently refurbished corner property with a somewhat whimsical but attractive exterior. Predominantly medium sized, the 223 guestrooms feature understated décor complemented by pastel-toned bedding and dark wood furnishings. They are maintained in good to fair condition, as are the en suite bathrooms. “Jenny's Restaurant” serves traditional English food, carvery-style, in addition to an International menu, while in the drolly-titled “Overstuffed Pizzeria” guests can experience the true flavours of Italy. There’s also “Friday’s Pub,” which provides a good meeting place for a great night. And for guests who want to keep fit, the well-equipped Spindles Health & Fitness Centre has a pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym, as well as a variety of beauty treatments available.

It was my intenetion to contact you so this has come at the right time, the hotel was shabby and unkempt,The lifts where out of action all weekend. Fittings in the room where falling off or dirty , this was a no smoking room but it was obivous that someone had had a fag out of the window , there was ash on the carpet.
The fire alarm went off at 5.30am , when we rang reception , which we where told was 24 hour there was no answer this was confusing and frightening , there where wires haning out of a device in the ceiling which we assume was the emergancy lighting or a smoke detector which did not work ! Fire doors had been proped open the day before on leaveing these where all shut .The breakfast was'nt the nicest over cooked and looked like it had been there since the day before , the fire alarm continued to go off throughout breakfast , No guidence or reassurance was given from staff. as we left we inteneded to complain but there where others complaining and there was'nt any staff free to take us up , the car park was due to run out so we had to leave. This did not feel value for money , £115 is a lot for a hotel that is shabby and unclean , i would not even have attempted to use the pool tiles where broken and it looked dangerous .
Please could you respond to these comments? I think the hotel chain should think about changeing the literature that is around as the picture that was on the leaflet was not a true reflection of what the pool and gym actually looked like. and to finish , the word Superior should be taken away from the hotal discription . it would be apprciated to have some sort of compensation as this was my birthday and it did put a downer on the weekend .
thank you for taking the time to read this .
Top Tip
The Travel lodge is just as near to the MEN area as this hotel maybe a few more minutes walk.
